Caroline A. DeFazio

Caroline A. DeFazio of Moosic, PA, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 27, 1946, in Scranton, PA, Caroline was the heart of our family though her kindness and wisdom.  She dedicated her life to nurturing and caring for those around her with her gentle guidance and support. Her legacy lives on through lessons she taught and the unconditional love she gave so freely.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Joseph R DeFazio Sr.; her children Joseph DeFazio Jr of Chicago, Illinois, Jill DeFazio of Easton, PA and Jeffery DeFazio (Elisabeth) of Moosic; her grandchildren, Ava and Aubree DeFazio. She is also survived by her sister Sarah Orazzi of Moosic, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie (Pedley) Skelly.

We will forever carry her love in our hearts. 

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
