Charles J. Testa III, 53, of Port Griffith, passed away after a long battle with Huntington’s Disease on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Pottsville Nursing and Rehab Center, Pottsville. He was born in Avoca on September 26, 1971, and was the son of Charles Testa and the late Sandra (Nelson) Testa.
Charlie was a member of St. John’s Primitive Methodist Church, Avoca. He was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, class of 1989 and a graduate of Johnson Technical School, Scranton. For many years, he was employed by WEA Manufacturing, Throop and Lowes Warehousing, Dupont
In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister Heather Wood, of Dalton and his niece Gabby Wood, of Dalton. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Charlie’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Pottsville Nursing and Rehab Center and also the nurses and staff of Compassus Hospice of Luzerne County, for their kindness and compassion shown to Charlie and the Testa family.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3rd at 10am at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. Friends may call on Thursday evening, January 2nd from 5pm-7pm. Interment will be held at the Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.
