Cheryl Karichner Kurre, 61, of Pittston, gained her glorious wings on Monday, March 20th, 2023, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. She was born October 19, 1961. Cheryl led an amazing, wonderful life with her husband Joseph. They were married September 15th, 1984 and have been inseparable right up to her last breath, as he was by her side.
Cheryl attended Pittston Area High School and was employed as head of quality control for 30 years at Kappa Graphics, Pittston.
Cheryl has finally been reunited with her family who she missed terribly; her mother Anne Mae (Moss) Karichner, father Charles Joseph Karichner, and brother Charles “Jeff” Karichner.
She is also survived by her niece and goddaughter Keri Ann Karichner, aka “her Pickle” and her husband Mark Chapman; her nephew and godson Charles Hunter Karichner aka “Her Dink” and his fiancé Morgan Kelly; her great niece Giavonna M. Chapman and great nephew Alexzander M. Chapman; and her sister-in-law Ellen Marsano.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 4pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. Friends may call for visitation on Sunday, March 26th from 2pm until time of service.
