Christopher J. Gentner, 42, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022. He was born in Staten Island, NY on November 16, 1979, and was the son of Christopher Gentner and Angel Wood.
Chris was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, class of 1999. He worked various jobs throughout his life and his last employment was with Martin’s Cages and Pet Products. Chris was a diehard San Francisco 49ers fan, he loved martial arts, and he loved his children more then anything. He was very generous and kindhearted, and he loved spending time and making memories with his family, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Nigel Gentner, who died June 26, 2018 as well as his grandparents and his aunt Lisa.
In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his daughters, Aliyah Gentner, of Wyoming and Kirah Gentner, of Edwardsville; his granddaughter Aubrinna Lewis, and siblings; Katrina Gentner, of Pittston, Michael Gentner and his wife Leslie, of Pittston, Juliana Wood, of Pittston, Charlie Wood of Plymouth, Mariah Lucas and her husband Hugh, of Tobyhanna; his stepbrother Jeremy Ribaudo, of Pittston; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 21,
2022, at 7:30pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Rev. Michael Shambora officiating. Friends may call on Friday evening from 5pm until time of service. Family and friends that are attending the services are strongly encouraged to abide by the CDC guidelines to take precautions and wear a facial mask when entering the funeral home.
