Daniel A. Twardowski, 78, of Dupont, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the River View Nursing and Rehab Center, Wilkes-Barre. He was born in Dupont on April 20, 1945, and was the son of the late Anthony and Mary Piechota Twardowski.
Daniel was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. He attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and was a graduate of Dupont High School.
Daniel was the owner and operator of “Danny’s Auto” in Dupont with over 50 years in business. He was a talented auto mechanic and also excelled in woodworking. He enjoyed all types of auto racing and loved to spend his time with his wife Hilda and his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 54 years, Hilda Ilic Twardowski; his sister Mary Brennamen and her husband Daniel, of Drums; his niece Erika Thomas Bidwell and her husband Donald of Scranton; his two great nephews and one great niece.
A blessing service will be held on Monday morning, August 7th, 2023, at 10:00am at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Fr. Thomas Petro of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont officiating. Friends may call for visitation on Sunday afternoon, August 6, 2023 from 2pm-4pm. Interment will be held at the Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.
