Daniel L. Spalding, 68, of Old Forge, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022, at his home. He was born in Philadelphia, June 23, 1953 and was the son of the late Robert L. Spalding and Philomina (Delayo) Korman.
Daniel attended Philadelphia Schools and later obtained his GED. He worked many years for Arlington Industries, Taylor.
Daniel was a loving husband, father, grand father, stepfather, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents Daniel was preceded in death by his twin sister, Patricia “Tricia” O’Connor.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Carol Calkins Spalding, his daughter Danielle Dow and her husband Jason, of Delmar, NY., his grandson Jason Jr. “J.J.” Dow, sister Ann Marie McDermott and her husband James, of Philadelphia and Carolyn Howell, of Charleston, SC. Also surviving are his extended family his Step-children; Louis Kaskey and his wife Jackie, of Larksville, Sherri Kaskey, of Harvey’s Lake and Richard Kaskey and his wife Dyanne, of Plymouth. Step grandchildren; Kala Fuller, Daryl Savage, Destiny Kaskey, Shea Perry, Richard Kaskey Jr., and Langdyn Kaskey, Step great
grandchildren; Gage and Krue and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of The Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Dr. #7, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 28th 2022, at 1:30pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Sharon Thauer officiating. Friends may call for visitation on Saturday afternoon from 12:00pm until time of service.
