Deborah H. (Algar) Radle

Deborah H. (Algar) Radle, 66, of Avoca, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre after a 11-year courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Avoca on September 15, 1954 and was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Grace (Walsh) Algar.

Debbie was a member of Queen of the Apostles Parish Church, Avoca. She was a 1972 graduate of Pittston Area High School. Debbie retired from Topps Chewing Gum, Duryea after 40 years of employment. She was a member of the West Side Social Club.


Generous to a fault, and compassionately lived and loved for her husband, her children and her grandchildren, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Haley Winters, her brother Ellsworth “Buddy” Algar, and sisters Mary Grace Langan and Ann George.


She is survived by her husband of 48 years, David Radle, her children David and his wife Juliann of Avoca daughter Denise Winters and husband Ryan of Dupont, Jason and his wife Jill, of Avoca and Stephen and his fiancé Kaylin of Avoca. Also surviving are her brother John “Jack” Algar and his wife Helen, of Pittston and her sister Maudeen and her husband Patrick Ratchford, of Duryea. Grandchildren; D.J. and Andrew Radle, Stephanie Reilly and her husband Matt, Ryan Jr, Trent and Tyra Winters, Devin Combs, Jason, and Cash Radle and Stephen Jr. and Ava Radle,

and numerous nieces and nephews.


A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 21, at 10:00am at Queen of the Apostles Parish Church, 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca with Fr. Phillip Sladicka officiating. Friends may call on Friday evening, August 20th from 5-8pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the church on Saturday morning for the mass. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Avoca.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959
