A graduate of Pittston Area High School, Denise continued her education at Marywood University for three years and later attended Luzerne County Community College.  She was most recently employed by the Pittston Area School District.

Denise loved to laugh, travel, dance, sing and enjoyed music; she cherished time with her family and friends.

Denise believed deeply that life was good and meant to be lived with joy, love, and gratitude.  She often expressed her hope that health, happiness, and security would bless her family, especially her beloved son, Michael.  Denise carried an unwavering faith that love in relationships would be strong, home would be wonderful, and those she cherished would prosper.  Her optimism, strength, and caring spirt leave a lasting example for all who knew and loved her. Live in the now, don’t dwell in the past, do all that you can now.

In addition to her mother, Denise is survived by her son, Michael Rowan of Archbald, as well as cousins:  Frank and his wife Debbie Hudzinski of Moosic; Sophie Kuzynski and husband Ron of Charlotte, NC; Don Hudzinski and his wife Kathleen of Pittston Twp; David Hudzinski and his wife Corrine of Jenkins Twp.; Diana Kremitske and her husband Mark of Pittston Twp.; and Judy Floster, of Naples, Maine.

Funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc. 255 McAlpine St. Duryea.
