Diana L. Reap

Diana L. Reap, 47, of Moosic passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at her home.  She was born in Scranton on October 19, 1976, and was the daughter of Ernest Deininger and Deborah Deininger.

Diana was a graduate of Riverside High School, class of 1995.

Diana’s work in the world was her role as a caring, devoted, and loving mother. For her, this was the best job on the planet and a job she never tired of. She grew up surrounded by the love of a large family and took all of the values of family and lived them beautifully in her own life. Gone far too soon, she leaves behind a legacy of deep love and a reminder to us all: tend tirelessly and tenderly to your family—this is what matters most.

In addition to her mother and father, she is survived by her husband of 25 years, Michael Reap; her children Michael, Tyler, and Sarah all at home; and her siblings, Ernest Deininger of Old Forge,  Brenda Wood and her husband Scott, of Hanover, PA, Lori Barcoski and her husband Stanley, of Avoca, Barbara McGovern and her husband Bob, of Moosic, Jacob Deininger and his companion Miranda Ricino, of Old Forge, Laurie Ann Janowicz and her husband Justin of Springbrook, Dawn Kernen and her fiancé David McDonald and Jane Kernen, of Taylor.  Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her stepbrother James Kernen and her stepmother Ruth (Decker) Deininger.

Memorial services for Diana will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 3:30pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Rev. Dale Pepper of St. John’s Primitive Methodist Church, Avoca officiating.  Friends may call for visitation on Saturday afternoon March 30th from 2pm until time of service.

Diana loved her animals, thus in lieu of flowers, kindly send memorial donations in Diana’s name to an animal shelter of your choice.
