Dolores Suscavage, 94, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Wednesday, May 18th 2022, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was born and raised in the Georgetown section of Wilkes-Barre on March 23, 1928 and was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Stetz.
Dolores was a graduate of G.A.R. High School. She worked many years for the Atwater Silk Mill, Plymouth. She was an avid buyer and seller of specialty glassware, jewelry, and antiques. She enjoyed traveling to local flea markets, garage sales, and estate sales far and wide throughout the region.
Dolores was a loving wife and very supportive mother; she was so proud of her son Paul’s accomplishments in life, his retirement from the US Air Force and his degree in optometry. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Suscavage, who died December 17, 2007; her brother, John Stetz; and sisters Margaret Groener, Helen Heurtz, and Mary Cusick.
Dolores is survived by her son, Paul Suscavage, OD and his wife Sheila, of Lansdale, PA and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 11th
at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. Friends may call on Saturday from 2:30pm-4pm.
