Donna (Healey) Melvin, 68, of Suscon, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, November 24, 2024. She was born in Scranton, August 23, 1956, and was the daughter of the late Stephen G. Healey and Geraldine (Kolojeski) Zurek.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Parish Church, (Mary Mother of God Parish), Scranton. Donna was a graduate of Riverside High School, class of 1975, and attended Penn State University Worthington Campus, Dunmore.
Donna was a family caregiver for over 30 years; she cherished her moments with her husband Terrance, their three sons, three grandchildren, her siblings, and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Stephen Healey.
Donna is survived by her husband of 35 years, Terry Melvin, sons; Jonathan Gable and his wife Meghan, of Sarratoga Springs, NY., Cory Melvin and his wife Krista, of Dickson City, and Kyle Melvin, at home; and grandchildren Charley and Lucy Gable and Eve Melvin. Also surviving are her siblings, Gary Healey, of Suscon, Joseph Healey and his wife Allison, of Avoca, stepbrother Stanley Zurek and his wife Lisa, of Suscon and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, December 1st at 3:30pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Fr. Paul McDonnell of Divine Mercy Parish Church, officiating. Friends may call for visitation on Sunday evening from 4pm-6pm.
