Edmund Kudej, 82, of Pittston, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. He was born in Dupont on November 18th, 1940, and was the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Haryjasz) Kudej.
Edmund was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish Church. He attended Avoca High School. Edmund retired from Owens Illinois/ Techneglas after 40 years of employment.
Edmund had a lifelong passion for motorcycles, and rode his bike into his 70’s. He was a great storyteller, sharing his many stories to his family and friends. He was always there for his family to lend a helping hand or give his advice. Edmund was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, companion, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Marie Vinansky and his longtime companion Theresa Pace, who died August 9, 2018.
He is survived by his daughter Doreen Kudej, of Swoyersville; granddaughters Danielle Boylan and her husband Joshua and Kelly Kehoe; and his great granddaughter Lydia Kehoe.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held at St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston.
