Edward Ciampi, 79, of Old Forge passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at his home. He was born at his family home in Avoca on November 6, 1940 and was the son of the late Carmen and Helen (Carroll) Ciampi.
Edward was a member of Prince of Peace Parish Church, Old Forge. He was a 1958 graduate of Avoca High School. He served the United States Army Reserve for many years. Edward retired from MacTac, Inc. Paper Products, Moosic.
Edward was a devout Catholic and was active in his parish church. He was a master gardener. His lawn was meticulous, along with his vehicles over the years. He was a loving husband, father, uncle and friend and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances (Genella) Ciampi, his daughter Christine Cortazzo and her husband Frank, of Ocean City, MD, and his brother-in-law and wife Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Genella and his nieces.
Due to the current health situation, funeral services will be privately held with a mass of Christian burial held at Prince of Peace Parish, 216 W. Grace St., Old Forge.
Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
