Eleanor “Ellie” Krutulis

Eleanor “Ellie” Krutulis, 60, of Duryea, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Beaumont on March 7, 1960 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Genevieve (Yale) Stoss.

Ellie was so very loved by her family and friends. She was first and foremost a mother; she was the best mom a daughter could ever ask for. She was a housewife for most of her years and loved taking care of people. Whether it was cooking for her family or making baked goods for a friend, she just always wanted to take care of everyone.

Ellie had struggled with health issues but had worked hard and was proud to regain her health this past year. While her passing was sudden and unexpected, the last year of her life was the happiest she had ever been. We are so grateful for the wonderful time that God gave us with her. It was truly a precious gift. She will live on through her beloved daughter, husband, family, and friends. Ellie

will always be remembered as the wonderful mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend that she was.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers John and Lowell Stoss.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Joseph Krutulis, her daughter Kari and her husband Kenneth Carey of Exeter and her sister-in-law Mary Krutulis, of Jenkins Twp. Also surviving are several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 2nd, 2020 at 9:30am at St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William St., Pittston with Fr. Joseph Elston officiating.
