Gail (Dobkowski) Tisdel, 76, of Avoca, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday September 10, 2025. Born in Clifton, NJ on October 17, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Doris (Larkin) Dobkowski.

Gail was a graduate of the Clifton High School, Clifton,NJ. And worked in various roles throughout her life, but her greatest joy and calling was caring for her family.
She loved playing bingo, taking trips to the casino with family and friends, and spending Sunday nights surrounded by her loved ones, listening to doo-wop classics from the 1950s and 1960s on 105 The River. Gail’s kindness, warmth, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Jessiah J. Tisdel Sr., who passed away on October 14, 2017; her son, Jessiah J. Tisdel Jr.; and her brother, Glen Dobkowski.
She is survived by her loving children, Tracie Mapes of Avoca; Donna Baldrica and her husband Kenny of Pittston Twp.; and Carl Tisdel of Avoca. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Emily Hughes, Katelyn Tisdel, Brian and Jason Mapes, Branden and Brady Baldrica, and her great grandchildren Jacob Jessiah Tisdel, Molly, Miley and Madelyn Mae Hughes Hughes, Darcy Rose LaFerriere, and Sawyer LaFerriere. Gail is also survived by her sister, Denise Faghani and her husband Anthony of New Jersey; her brother, Louis Dobkowski and his wife Lynn, of New Jersey; along with many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, morning September 17, 2025 at 10:00am at Holy Mother Of Sorrows Polish National Cemetery, Sunset Lane, Dupont, PA with Fr. Adib Salameh of St. Anthony -St. George Maronite Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre, providing grave site services. Friends may call for visitation on Tuesday evening September 16, 2025 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc. 255 McAlpine St. Duryea from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
