Gerard “Ardie” Exter, 65, of Bear Creek Twp., passed away on October 21, 2021, at his home. He was born in Avoca, May 25, 1956, and was the son of the late Peter and Lottie Pietras Exter.
Ardie was a 1974 graduate of Coughlin High School. He worked for many years as arborist for Shannon Tree Service and retired from All Door Sales Co., Swoyersville. Ardie was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a loving brother, uncle, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Ronald Exter.
He is survived by his siblings; Alex Exter and his wife Peggy, of Dallas, Lucille Exter, of Avoca, Marilyn Kenzakoski of Bear Creek Twp., and Emily Grabowski and her husband Paul, of Bethlehem. Also surviving are his sister-in-law Helen Exter, of Dupont and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
