Guy N. Solano, 51, passed away on December 13, 2025, at his home.  He was born on April 20, 1974, in Pittston, and was the son of the late Nicholas “Nicky” Solano and Marsha (Maleski) Knoll.

Guy was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, Class of 1992, and later attended Luzerne County Community College.  He was the owner and operator of the GNS Tobacco Stores, with locations in Moscow and Duryea.

A talented and accomplished athlete, Guy was a 1994 Golden Gloves armature boxing champion. His passion for boxing led him into mixed martial arts, where he continued to compete.  Throughout the years, he devoted much of his time to training and mentoring children in mixed martial arts.  Beyond athletics, Guy had a deep love for music and played drums for many local area bands.

Guy lived life to the fullest and made an impression on everyone he met.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his children, Nico Solano of Pittston, and Ariana Solano and her fiancé, Jake Wysocki, also of Pittston; his granddaughter, Amelia Wysocki; and his fiancé, Alicia Bruneio. He is also survived by his brother, Nicholas Solano, Jr.; his stepbrother, Jason Llewellyn; and his stepmother, Grace (Walsh) Solano.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 10:00am at Immaculate Conception Church (Corpus Christi Parish), 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston, with Monsignor John J. Sempa officiating.  Friends may call for visitation on Saturday morning from 9:00am until time of mass.
