Janet (Kowalcik) Cefalo age 69 of Lancaster, Ohio formerly of Plains and Dupont, Pennsylvania passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster.
Born January 3, 1951 in Pittston, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Mildred (Dziuba) Kowalcik.
Janet was a licensed beautician and a waitress at Denny’s Restaurant for 29 years.
Janet is survived by two sons, Joseph Cefalo of Duryea, Pennsylvania and Mark Cefalo of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Michele (Rich) Roberts of Carroll, Ohio and Jennifer (Rich) Romanczuk, Daytona Beach, Florida; four grandchildren, Joseph Yance and Emma Rose Roberts, Joseph Cefalo Jr., and Samantha Cefalo; two great-grandchildren, Bella Rose and Mia Rose
Cefalo; two sisters Jackie (Mark) Purdy, and Joann (Frank) Rafalko and several nieces and nephews.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Edward F. and Mildred (Dziuba) Kowalcik, her two brothers, John and Edward Kowalcik and her husband, Michael Anthony Cefalo (2020).
A funeral mass will be held Saturday, August 8 at Queen of the Apostles Church in Avoca at 10 am. With Fr. Phillip Sladicka officiating. The church will be open prior to mass from 9-10 am for family and friends to pay respects. If attending the mass kindly use your discretion, masks are mandatory in the Church.
