Jason T. Kuna

Jason T. Kuna, 43, of Avoca, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Hospice Of The Sacred Heart, Dunmore.  He was born in Scranton, August 22, 1981, and was the son of the late Thaddeus and Jean (Strasburger) Kuna.

Jason was a devoted and loving husband and father, who left us far too soon.  Jason was a man of many passions: he found joy in cooking and barbecuing for his loved ones, and nothing made him happier than playing outdoors with his children.  A fan of the Buffalo Bills, he loved cheering for his team.  Music filled his life, and family vacations to the Outer Banks were treasured traditions that brought everyone together.  Jason was also a skilled roofer and carpenter, generously sharing his expertise with anyone who needed help.  His fearless spirit and unwavering love will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.  We extend our deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their outstanding care, compassion, and support during Jason’s final days.

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Jason is survived by his wife of 16 years Jeanine (Jake) Kuna, they had just celebrated their 16-year anniversary on October 11.  Surviving children, his son Noah and daughter Eva Kuna.  Also surviving are his siblings, Joseph Strasburger, of Scranton, Jennifer Kuna, of Shavertown, Amy Ziskowski, of Archbald and Michael Toye, of West Pittston. His mother-in-law Ann Jake, father-in-law Michael Jake, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
