John Albert Miller, III

John Albert Miller, III, 75, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.  Born on January 28, 1951, in Binghamton, New York, he was the son of the late John A. Miller, II and Bertha (Jumper) Miller.


John attended parochial school in Binghamton, NY and later Northeast High School in Duryea. Over the years, he was employed by various companies throughout the area.


He especially enjoyed vacationing at the beach with his family and cherished trips to Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  John had a large extended family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roger Miller; his siblings, Florence Kresge, William Miller, Walter Miller, Margaret McGrath, and Lisa Kneller; and his stepbrother, Harry Jumper.


He is survived by his daughter, Tammie Miller of Binghamton, NY; his sons Harry Miller of Nanticoke and Mark Miller and his wife, Kim, of Nanticoke; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; his stepbrother, Douglas Jumper of Dupont; his sisters, Bertha Early of Pittston, Mary Brown of Dupont, and Susan Shannon and her husband, Robert, of Plains; as well as several nieces and nephews.


Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 5th, at 5:00pm at, the Wilkes-Barre Church of Christ at Sugar Notch, 563 Mott St., Sugar Notch, PA with Rev. Kevin Van Why officiating.  Friends may call for visitation from 4:00pm until time of service.


Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
