John Robert “Jack” Donahue II

John Robert “Jack” Donahue II, 28, of Dupont, PA passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Allentown. He was born October 26, 1992 and was the son of John “Jack” R. Donahue and Bobbi J. (Matthews) Donahue.

John was a 2011 graduate of Pittston Area High School and a Wilkes-Barre Vocational Technical School graduate. He was a certified electrician and had worked for the Letica Corporation and Maui Cup, Pittston Twp.


John loved the outdoors; he enjoyed canoeing, fishing and riding his ATV. He was mechanically inclined and very talented with all things mechanical. He enjoyed working on cars and ATV’s.


Jack was a very generous and kind person that was always willing to help out at anytime when needed. He loved his family, friends and his dog and enjoyed spending time with them when he could. He had a wonderful sense of humor and could always make you laugh.


He filled our hearts with his love, generosity, and humor. He will be forever deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.


In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother David, of Bartonsville; his maternal grandfather, Warren Matthews, of Bartonsville; his paternal grandmother Jennifer (Koza) Donahue, of Dupont; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.


He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Gail Elizabeth Martin, and his paternal grandfather John “Jack” Donahue.


A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 31 at 10:00am at Queen of the Apostles Parish Church, 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca with Fr. Phillip J. Sladicka officiating. Friends may call for visitation on Saturday morning, July 31st from 9am until time of mass. Interment will take place at a later date.
