Joseph C. Brown, 62, of West Pittston, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. He was born in Pittston and was the son of the late Charles F. Brown and Margaret Mary (English) Brown.
Joseph was a graduate of Pittston Area High School. He retired as a truck driver, having been employed by many local trucking companies throughout the years.
Joe loved his work as a truck driver, and he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughter Margaret Mary “Peggy” Brown and her fiancé Jeremy DeAngelis of Falls; his grandchildren, Damian Brown, Nazzereano Purta, and Mason Brown; his stepchildren, Ricci Aschenback, Jr., of Dupont, Helena Aschenback, of Forty Fort, Crystal McGrade, of Wilkes-Barre, and Patrick Sharp, Sr. of Wilkes-Barre; his brothers and sisters, Betsy Yanulavich and her husband Joe, of West Pittston, Charles Brown, of Pittston, Michael Brown and his wife Linda, of Pittston, Cindy Brown, of Exeter and Carl Brown of Jessup; several other grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
