Joseph Peter Galuska, Jr., 63 of Moosic passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 30, 2023. He was born in Taylor on August 24th, 1959, and was the son of the late Joseph, Sr. and Dolores (Hornick) Galuska.
Joey was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees, Notre Dame Football, and NASCAR. Joey also had a cat named Dallas, which he loved very much.
Surviving are his sister Rosanne J. (Galuska) Kuhar and husband Thomas, Mountain Top; nephew Christopher Kuhar and fiancée Kelly McAndarra; niece Ashlen Kuhar and companion, Tony Gomez; niece Randie Kuhar; great-nephew Nikolai James Kuhar; godmother Phyllis Galuska, Avoca; aunt Kathy and uncle Jack Reid, Duryea; and many cousins who loved him very much.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 4th at 12pm in Nativity of Our Lord Parish Church, 127 Stephenson St., Duryea. Father Joseph Evanko and Father Jonathan Kuhar of St. Jude's Parish Church, Mountain Top, and St. John Neumann Parish, Scranton will officiate. Interment will be held at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. All are asked to go directly to the church for Mass. There will be no procession.
