Joseph Timinski, Jr., 62, of Dupont, passed away on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia.  He was born in Dupont on October 11, 1962, and was the son of Barbara (Klimek) and the late Joseph Timinski, Sr.

Joseph was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, Class of 1980 after which he joined the US Army reserve and served for four years.  For many years, he was employed as a dispatcher for many local trucking companies and was currently employed as an independent pharmaceutical courier for the last 5 years.

Joe was known for his great sense of humor among his friends and family.  He was a remote-control model plane enthusiast and was a member of many regional model aviation clubs. He served on council for the borough of Dupont, taking on the position that his father Joseph, Sr. served in.  He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Vikings Football.  He was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother Barbara, Joseph is survived by his wife of 29 years, Trish A. (Dillon) Timinski, his sister Marlene DeBiasi, of Duryea, and his brother Mark Timinski and his wife Marie, of Duryea.  Also surviving are his 10 sisters-in-law, 6 brothers-in-law and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and his pet dog, A.J.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Mary Alice Dillon Hartrnaft, brother-in-law, Louis DeBiasi and his fur babies, Angus and Bella.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11:00am at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Deacon Frank H. Hine of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville officiating.  Friends may call for visitation on Wednesday evening December 11, from 5pm-7pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
