Linda Bryk

Linda Bryk, 73, of Dupont, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital in Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Wilkes-Barre on March 3, 1953, and was the daughter of the late Gerald W. Thomas and Janice Evans Gabriel, and she was lovingly raised by Stanley Gabriel.

Linda was a graduate of Hanover High School, Class of 1970. She earned her degree as a Registered Nurse from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Wilkes-Barre and went on to work at Mercy Hospital for 15 years. She devoted her life to her children, leaving her nursing career to raise her family.

Family was the heart of Linda’s life. She was compassionate, loving, and full of good advice and medical knowledge. She was an unwavering source of strength and selflessness, a constant presence of endless love to everyone around her.

Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bart R. Bryk; her daughters, Sara Judd and her husband, Zac, of Stanley, Virginia, and Alicia Coolbaugh and her husband, Howard, of Dallas; her grandchildren, Emilia, Zayden, Zander, Alaina, and Howard.

Private funeral services will be held at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Wilkes-Barre.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA in celebration of Linda’s love for animals.
