Linda Frattaroli Wasta

Linda Frattaroli Wasta passed away March 26, 2024, at the age of 80 at Green Ridge Care Center, Scranton, PA.

Born in Nanticoke, PA in 1943 to the late Frank and Edith (Morigi) Frattaroli, Linda graduated from Newport Township High School, Class of 1961. After graduation, she was employed as Secretary to the Principal of Newport Township High School.

Linda married Andrew Wasta in 1966 and moved to Piscataway, NJ, where she was a resident for more than 48 years. She was employed by Pharmacia, Inc., and UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School from which she retired in 2006. Linda was actively involved in the Superchief Band Parents Association and was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Church. She retired to Pittston, PA in 2018.

Linda was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Andrew, who passed away in June 2011.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Atkinson, and beloved grandchildren, Gus and Edie of Burlington, NJ; brother, Dino Frattaroli of Weaverville, NC; sister-in-law, Judy Wasta, and niece, Sharri Dructor of Duryea, PA; sister-in-law, Barbara Wasta of Pittston, PA; and many nieces, nephews, and loving cousins.

A mass in her memory will be held at St. Francis Cabrini Church on a date yet to be determined. Burial will be a private ceremony.

Linda wished for donations be made in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in lieu of flowers.
