Linda Hastie Farrell, 71, of Moosic, passed away on November 12, 2021 at Geisinger CMC Hospital, Scranton. She was born in Avoca, September 29, 1950, and was the daughter of the late Helen Mae Hastie.
Linda was a lifelong member of the Langcliffe Presbyterian Church, Avoca, where she served on the Session Board and served as treasurer for many years. Linda attended Northeast High School, Duryea. She worked many years for Auto Paint World in the accounts receivable department, and retired in 2015 from Mariotti Building Products.
Linda was a very kind, generous, and loving soul who loved spending her time with her family and friends; she enjoyed traveling and had visited many places throughout the USA with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her mother, Linda is preceded in death by her son-in-law, John Nat.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Patrick
“Perk” Farrell; her daughter Sandra Nat, of Duryea; and son Frank and his wife Lisa Skoranski of Laporte, PA. Also surviving are grandchildren, Samantha and Cassidy Skoranski and Christopher Nat; her sister Margaret and her husband James Frost of Moosic; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 9:30am from Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with memorial services at 10:00am at the Langcliffe Presbyterian Church, 1001 Main St., Avoca with Rev. Marge Ziegler officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday evening, November 16, from 5pm-8pm. Interment will be held at the parish cemetery.
We will miss her so very much. We had so many wonderful memories. She was a wonderful person and we are thankful for all our great times together. Loved her so much
