Lucille “Lucy” Ann Scyrba, 88, of Dupont, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was born in Dupont, December 13, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Magda) Scyrba.
Lucy was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. She was a graduate of Dupont High School, Dupont and retired after many years of employment in the local garment industry. She was a member of the ILGWU.
Lucy was wonderful woman. She was very kind, honest, and generous, and loved spending time with her beloved family. She cherished her home, her yard, and observing nature and animals that would stop by for a visit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings; Walter, Pauline, Theresa, Joseph, and
Frances Scyrba.
Lucy is survived by her sisters; Helen Cace, of NJ, Mary Misencik, of Moosic, and John Scyrba, of Dupont, and many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont with Fr. Thomas Petro officiating. Interment will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Dupont.
