Lynn Ostroski Bennie

Lynn Ostroski Bennie, 64, of Hanover Township and formerly of Avoca, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Birchwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Nanticoke. She was born in Avoca on February 23, 1962, and was the daughter of the late Casey and Marie Carlin Ostroski.

Lynn was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, Class of 1980. She worked for many years at the Eddie Leon Chocolate Factory in Moosic and was currently employed at Morgan Advanced Materials in Hanover Township.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Daniel and David Romanko; her sister, Kathy Drouse; and her brother-in-law, Robert Kozak.

She is survived by her children, Thomas Bennie III, of Pittston and Lindsey Bennie of Pittston; her grandchildren, Beau Bennie, Joseph Gracin Lokuta, and Robert Mason Fahey; her sisters, Gail Volch and her husband, Robert, of Swoyersville, and Karen Kozak of Avoca; her brother-in-law, John Wanalista; her sister-in-law, Geri Vermac; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be privately held, with interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Avoca.
