Margaret Kalina, 81, of Pittston passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. She was born in Pittston on January 10, 1941 and was the daughter of the late George and Katarina (Mackanic) Gerboc.
Margaret was a member of St. John The Baptist Church, Pittston until the time of its closing and was currently a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish Church, Duryea. She was a graduate of Pittston High School. Margaret worked in the office of Agostini Bakery for many years until her retirement in 2016. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by infant daughter Jessica; sisters, Mary Russick, Helen Schnitzel, Agnes Havrilla, Elizabeth Rakowski, Anna Rachwalski; brothers, John, George, Joseph, and Michael; as well as her former spouse Martin B. Kalina and her daughter-in-law Kim Kalina.
Margaret is survived by her sons, David and his wife Patty of Pittston and son Daniel of Pittston; granddaughter Samantha Watts and husband Kyle; and grandsons Daniel and Matthew Kalina.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 11:30am at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Fr. Michael Bryant of Nativity of Our Lord Parish Church officiating. Friends may call for visitation from 9:30am until time of service. Interment will be held at St. John The Baptist Cemetery, Exeter.
