Marie Wilk, 96, of Avoca, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Allied Skilled Nursing Center, Scranton.  She was born in Avoca on December 8, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Alex and Catherine (Arch) Pucilowski.

Prior to its closing, Marie was a devoted member of SS Peter and Paul Church, Avoca where she was a member of its Alter and Rosary Society and was active in many parish church events. Marie had a wonderful sense of humor and was a devoted homemaker, loving mother, and an excellent cook and baker.  There was always a home cooked meal on the table, and her home was filled with warmth and care.  She enjoyed life to the fullest and especially cherished time spent with family and friends.  Marie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Wilk; her brother, Joseph Pucilowski; and her sisters, Helen Grudzinski and Dolores Ruda.

Marie’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff of Allied Skilled Nursing and Allied Hospice for the excellent care and compassion shown to Marie.
