Mary Pat Shandra, 76, of Pittston Twp., passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Pittston, October 26, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Fallon) Reap.
Pat was a member of Our Lady of The Eucharist Parish Church, Pittston. She was a graduate of Pittston Area High School class of 1963. She worked for the Yatesville Bus Company and then retired from LCTA Bus Company after 23 years of driving. After retirement, she went back to the Yatesville Bus Company and drove school children for many years. Pat was a member of the American Legion Post 477 and a member of its Ladies Auxiliary.
Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Everyone who knew and loved her will miss her fiery Irish sprit.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Shandra, who died March 17, 2001.
She is survived by her daughter, Doreen Kudej, of Swoyersville; her granddaughters Danielle Boylan and Kelly Kehoe; and her companion Joseph Kupchin, of Pittston.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 10:30am at Our Lady of The Eucharist Parish Church, 535 N. Main St., Pittston with Fr. Paul McDonnell officiating. Friends may call for visitation on Saturday morning, December 4th from 9:30am until time of mass. Interment will be held at St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston.
