Mary Rose Kurtinitis, 54, of Pittston, passed away at her home. She was born in Pittston, July 24, 1966 and was the daughter of the late Bernard and Jean Marie (Keating) Kurtinitis.
Mary was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish church. She was a graduate of Pittston Area High School. Mary worked as a housekeeper most of her life. Over the years, she was employed by the Holiday Inn, the Marriott Hotel group, the Day’s Inn and was currently employed at the Knights Inn, Pittston. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Ari, and her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Mariah, her fiancé Larry, brother William, her sisters Jackie and Mary Alice and her nephew Riley.
Mary Rose is survived by her sons, Shawn and Eric, both of Pittston; her brothers, Michael of Dallas and Bernie, of Wyoming; sisters, Bernice and Michele, both of Pittston and Gina of Forty Fort; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Mary Rose will be held at a later date.
