I am so sad to learn of "Little" Mary George's passing. A true testament to "big things come in small packages", Mary was of LARGE heart and rich of fine attributes. She was loving, kind, patient and generous. She never had a bad word, lived her faith in her non-assuming humble way. She was quick to laugh and ever ready for a song. Her lilting bird -like voice must be a happy addition to heaven's choir. Mary was a sweet creative soul who could produce a full-on Sunday dinner, replete with "Mary's mashies" as if it was but an afterthought! Anyone was welcome at her table. And I, for one, am honoured to have been among those at her table…
Aunt Mary was my Brother Billy's Godmother. Mary was a big help to my Mom in the early days and we will be forever grateful. We were raised as though the Boones were our older siblings. We had a wonderful full of fun life having been with them for all of our lives. Having meals in our house was a 24 hour job for my Mom. She enjoyed having them all around and celebrating so many events with them and their families. I am so fortunate to have had all of them as my village growing up.
My condolences are so heartfelt to my cousins and all who had the pleasure of knowing Mary.
Gramma Mary was the sweetest lady and truly one of a kind.
