Maryann Serafin, 74, of Dupont, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Jersey City, NJ on February 6, 1948 and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Helen Sincavage Cronick.
Maryann was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. She was a graduate of Ferris High School, Jersey City, NJ and retired from Golden Technologies, Duryea.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Serafin; brothers, Daniel, John “Jackie” and Robert Cronick; and her sister Pauline Cronick.
Maryann is survived by her companion of 12 years, John Leys; her sisters Phyllis Burke, of Whiting, NJ and Barbara Cronick, of Colonia, NJ. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, grea- nieces and great nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday September 16, 2022, at 11:15am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont with Fr. Thomas Petro officiating. Interment will be held at the parish cemetery. Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
