Michael “Mikey” J. Clifford, 37, of Avoca, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, October 10, 2020. He was born in Kingston on October 26, 1982 and was the son of Michael W. Clifford and the late Joann Oliveri Clifford.
Michael was a graduate of Pittston Area High School. He attended the School of Culinary Arts, Pittsburgh. He worked for several local restaurants and corporate restaurant chains. He was a kind and loving son, brother, uncle, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister, Christine Loyack and her husband Stephen, of Pittston Twp., his niece Bailey and niece and godchild Ashlyn Loyack. Also surviving are numerous, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 10:00am at Queen of The Apostles Parish Church, 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca with Fr. Phillip Sladicka officiating. Friends may call for visitation at the church from 9:00am until time of mass. Interment will be held at St. John The Evangelist Cemetery, Pittston. If attending the visitation or the mass, please be mindful that masks and social distancing are mandatory. Please use your discretion.
