Michael Osenkarski

Michael Osenkarski, 41, of Pittston, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2022. He was born on January 7, 1981 and was the son of Sandra Daczka Osenkarski and the late Michael Osenkarski.

Michael was a 1999 graduate of Pittston Area High School. Upon graduating, he joined the United States Marine Corp, serving during the Persian Gulf War. Mike worked as an over the road truck driver and was currently employed by Mayo Striping as a truck driver.


In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandfather Edwin Papa D.


In addition to his mother Sandra, Michael is survived by his sister Kristin Osenkarski, of Edwardsville and brothers, Chester Remas of Florida, and Curtis Remas of Pittston. Also surviving are his nieces Lia and Ellie Remas, his aunt Ann Marie Horoszko, best friends George Wolak and Bud Lamoreux, and many cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 11:30am at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Fr. Michael Bryant of Nativity of Our Lord Parish Church, Duryea officiating. Friends may call on Saturday, December 18th from 10am until time of service. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Duryea with full military honors.
