Nadine Renfer Giampietro, 73, of Suscon, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Pittston Twp. on October 25, 1950 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Harriet Falcheck Renfer.
Nadine was a member of Queen of the Apostles Parish Church, Avoca. She was a graduate of St. John’s High School, Class of 1968. She was also a graduate of the Jerrytone School of Beauty, Pittston, earning a license in cosmetology and hair styling. Nadine was self-employed along with her cousin Rosemary in the home cleaning business as well. She was also very active in the Wyoming Valley Figure Skating Association, having instructed many students in the art of professional figure skating.
Nadine is survived by her husband of 37 years, Matthew Giampietro, her daughters Alicia Adams and her husband Jeffrey, of Suscon and Tara McCann of Dupont. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jeffrey Adams and Falin McCann, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Mark Giampietro and his wife Cecilia, Christine O’Hara and her husband Joseph, Elaine Yanko, and Robert Giampietro and his wife Ruth and several nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 17th 2024, at 10:00am at Queen of the Apostles Parish Church, 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca with Fr. Phillip Sladicka officiating. Friends may call for viewing on Friday morning at the church from 9am until time of mass. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s of the Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming.
