Nancy Tripus Volch, 68, of Exeter, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, at her home.  She was born in Avoca, December 7, 1955 and was the daughter of the late Adam and Theresa (Ostrowski) Tripus.

Nancy was a graduate of Pittston Area High School. She was employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry, having worked for Laura Fashions, Avoca until the time of it’s closing.

Nancy was well known for her excellent cooking and baking that she shared with everyone.  She was especially known for her delicious potato pancakes, pumpkin cookies, and holiday traditions.  She was an avid collector of rhinestone jewelry, loved to crochet, and enjoyed rides through the countryside.  She loved her pets and all animals, but most of all she enjoyed spending her time with her loving husband Michael and her family.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael Volch, her children, Lisa Stempien and her husband Stanley of Exeter and her son Adam Volch, of Avoca.

Also surviving are her grandchildren, Saige Stempien and Jacob Hunter Volch, her sister Jeanette Volch and several nieces and nephews.

A blessing service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 1pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Fr. Phillip Sladicka of Queen of the Apostles Parish Church Avoca officiating.  Friends may call for visitation on Saturday afternoon from 1pm until 3pm.
