Robert J. Haduch

Robert J. Haduch, 54, of Avoca unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Rob was born in Avoca on July 3, 1969, and was the son of Casimir and Frances Nancy (Zuba) Haduch.

He was a member of Queen Of The Apostles Parish Church, Avoca. He was a graduate of Pittston Area High School class of 1987 and then graduated from Lincoln Technical College with a degree in electronics. He was employed by WVIA Public Media as an electrical engineer with 35 years of employment.


In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Lisa Mercer and husband Fred, of Bloomsburg and Karen Reber and her husband Jeff of Mifflinburg, PA. Also surviving are his niece and nephews, Brett and Karli Mercer and Matthew and Christopher Reber and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Rob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him


A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Queen of the Apostles Parish Church, 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca, with Fr. Phillip Sladicka officiating. Friends may call for visitation on Thursday morning at the church from 9am until time of the mass. Interment will follow at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Avoca.


Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.

I will miss you my friend. Although we didn't have a lot of time to talk since highschool I always loved running into you when we had a chance to talk.
