Robert Ozack, 69, of Duryea, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at his home. Born on January 17, 1955, in Scranton, he was the son of the late Michael S. Ozack and Mary (Manoski) Ozack.
Robert was a proud graduate of Riverside High School’s Class of 1974 in Taylor. After high school, he bravely served his country as a member of the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he dedicated many years to his career at Northeast Envelope before retiring.
A passionate and skilled billiards enthusiast, Robert was an avid pool player who competed at the national level. As a proud member of the American Pool Players Association, he earned numerous awards that reflected his talent and dedication to the sport.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved son, Bobby Michael Ozack, and his brothers, John, Paul, and David Ozack.
He is survived by his loving daughter, April Parrott, and granddaughter, Aubrie, both of Vernon, Connecticut. He also leaves behind his siblings: Michaeline Snopek, Stella Lebowitz, Lorraine Ozack, Roberta Bloomer, Mary Ann Wiscosky, Elaine Strunk, Joanne Mason, Rosemarie Phares, Evelyn Ozack, and Martin Ozack. Robert cherished his large family and held a special bond with his nieces, Jessica Ozack and Jade Jones, among his many nieces and nephews.
Robert will be remembered for his kind spirit, unwavering patriotism, and the joy he brought to those around him, whether through his love of pool, family gatherings, or the countless cherished memories he created with his loved ones.
In keeping with Robert’s wishes, funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
