Rodney L. Williams
Rodney L. Williams, 64, of Edwardsville, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital in Wilkes-Barre. Born in Pottstown, on June 18, 1962, he was the son of George Washington and the late Betty Williams Daye.
Rodney graduated from St. Pius X High School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, where he was a standout member of the school’s basketball team. He later graduated from Misericordia University in Dallas. For many years, Rodney worked locally as a truck driver.
An avid sports fan, Rodney especially enjoyed basketball. He considered himself an audiophile and had a deep love of music, particularly jazz and blues. A homebody at heart, Rodney treasured his home and the time he spent with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his mother, Betty, Rodney was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry and Marvin Williams, and his grandmother, Barbara Towson.
In addition to his father, George, Rodney is survived by his son, Christopher Josey of Dunmore; his brother, Tyrone Williams of Reading; his nieces, Roslynn Latoya Mayes, Vanessa Williams, and Adrian Blanco; as well as additional nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Also surviving are his former spouse, Stacey Josey; his girlfriend, Tami Capece; and John Daye, the spouse of Rodney’s mother, Betty.
Memorial services for Rodney will be held at a later date and will be announced.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
