Ruth Ann Heine, 81, of Jenkins Twp., passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at her home.  She was born in Uniontown, PA., April 28, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Glen and Anna (Kaiser) King.


Ruth lived a life marked by dedication, service, and warmth.  A graduate of Dobbins High School, Philadelphia, she built a long and fulfilling career as a secretary at John Patero Inc., where she worked for 35 years with diligence and grace.  Following her retirement, she found joy and purpose in volunteer work, dedicating her time to the VFW Auxiliary Post 22 in Philadelphia.  Later, she continued her involvement with the VFW Auxiliary, joining Post 4909 in Dupont.  There, she made lasting friendships and found happiness in simple pleasures, especially cooking, which she loved to share with those around her.  She will be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to her community.


In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Charles Young and her step daughter Stephanie Cordero.


Ruth is survived by her husband John B. Heine, stepdaughters, Beth Leach, of Pittston, Margaret McGarvey and her husband Jeffrey, of Philadelphia, and Sonia Pichalsky, of Philadelphia.  Grandchildren; Jarret, Madison, and Jaxon Leach, Emilia, and Eleanor McGarvey, Alaina and Moses Cordero and Miranda and Jonathan Hillman.  Great grandchildren, Savannah and Miles, her stepbrother, Glen Young, of Flordia and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the family.


Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
