Sally Mantione Ferrara, 90, of Pittston, passed away on January 1, 2023, at Highland Manor Nursing and Care Center, Exeter. She was born in Pittston on February 7, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Concetta (Porta) Mantione.
Sally was a former member of St. Rocco’s Parish church. She was a graduate of Pittston High School and retired from the local garment industry. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her friends. Sally will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ross Ferrara, who died December 1, 2008; her sisters Antoinette Mantione and Frances Mantione; and her brother Sam Mantione.
She is survived by her daughters, Maria Ferrara Fee and her husband David, of Pittston and Diane Ferrara of Hughestown; grandchildren: Ross and his wife Amanda Fee, Melissa and her husband Jeremi Fetter, Kellie and her husband Nathan Wynder; great-grandchildren: Jordyn and Samantha Wynder, Payton and Sydney Fee, and David Fetter. Also surviving are her sisters, Grace and her husband Don Eremin, Connie Geskey, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 10:00am from Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with a mass of Christian burial at 10:30am at Corpus Christi Parish Church, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston with Monsignor John J. Sempa officiating. Friends may call for visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday morning, January 4th from 9:00am until 10:00am. Interment will be held at St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston.
