Tammy M. Hoban

Tammy M. Hoban, 54, of Dupont, passed away on February 8, 2026, at the Riverview Nursing and Rehab Center in Wilkes-Barre, where she had resided for the past seven years while courageously battling Huntington Chorea Disease. 


She was born in Dupont on May 14, 1971, and was the daughter of Betty Ann (Powell) Chmiel and David Chmiel.


In addition to her parents, Tammy is survived by her daughter Joleen Nyzio, of Plains; her grandchildren, Julia Marchise and Cypher Nyzio; her sister, Jennifer Kivak of Springbrook; her brother, Michael Hoban of Dupont; and her many nieces.


Private funeral services will be held at a later date.


Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
