Teresa Marie (George) Pollard

Teresa Marie (George) Pollard, 97, of Avoca passed away on Tuesday October 15th, 2024, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.  She was born in Avoca January 21, 1927, and was the daughter of the late David and Mildred (Clifford) George.


She was a member of Queen of The Apostles Parish Church, Avoca., and a graduate of Avoca High School.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years Robert Pollard who died in 1979, her son Robert Pollard Jr., daughter Donna (Pollard) Regan, grandson, Joseph Pollard, siblings; David George, Thomas George, Joseph George, Mary Ann Sowa, Martin George and Donald George. And her son-in-law Francis “Butch” Regan.

 

Survived by her son Carl Pollard and his companion Victoria Marteslo of Pottsville, granddaughters, Amy Ott and husband Timothy, of Moosic, Terri Ann Johnson, of Moosic, Jenny Rosengrant and her husband David of Plains, and Colleen Evans and her husband Robert, of Avoca, Gale Fuller, of Fl. and Rae Ann Carlucci of TN.  Greatgrandchildren, Logan Ott, Samuel Ott, Kaylee Rawstron and husband Peter, Caleb Johnson, Sierra Rosengrant and Cael Rosengrant, Anthony Carlucci, Angelina Carlucci and Austin Fuller and his wife Cindy. Also surviving are brothers, Michael George of Avoca and Ned George, of Avoca and numerous nieces and nephews

 

Teresa's family would like to thank doctors’ nurses and staff of Geisinger Wyoming Valley hospital Wilkes Barre and the doctors and staff of Wesley village personal care rehab for their excellent care and compassion.

 

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday October 18th at 10:00 AM at Queen of the Apostles parish church 715 Hawthorne St. Avoca with Fr. Phillip Sladicka officiating.  Friends may call on Friday morning for visitation from 9:00 AM until time of mass.  Interment will be held at Saint Mary's cemetery Avoca.
