Theresa (Zuba) Magda, 89, of Dupont, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Regional Hospital, Scranton. She was born in Avoca, December 1, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (Guzior) Zuba.
Theresa was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont, and was an active member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church Choir. She was a graduate of Avoca High School. Theresa worked for the McKinney Corp., Scranton, and Topps Chewing Gum for many years.
Theresa enjoyed sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew P. Magda, who died September 4, 2009, as well as her siblings; Joseph and Michael Zuba, Dolores Shumlas, Helen Gergelis, Mary Battista, and Ceil Plisko.
Theresa is survived by her daughter Marita Campbell and her husband Louis of Elmira, NY; her grandchildren Helen and Joseph Campbell; brother John Zuba, of Highbridge, NJ.; sisters Shirley Metrishyn, of Bloomsburg, Nancy Haduch and her husband Casmir, of Avoca; and many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022, at 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont with Fr. Thomas Petro officiating. Interment will be held at the parish cemetery.
Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
