Therese “Tracey” Beccone (nee Clifford) entered this world on September 9th, 1954- or as she would say, “the year of the stars”. After 71 years of a life spent laughing with the ones she loved, God called her back to her heavenly home on October 6th, 2025.

Born in Pittston, Pennsylvania to Michael and Rose Kiselevach Clifford, she assumed her role as the only daughter and middle child, where she honed her peacemaking skills.
Her childhood was spent playing with her extensive list of cousins throughout West Avoca and Pittston, and soaking up all the beauty the Wyoming Valley had to offer.
Always seeking to expand her horizons, she attended college at East Stroudsburg University, obtaining a degree in physical education and making lifelong friendships. In the summer of 1973, she would meet the man who changed everything while working at Tamiment Resort in the Poconos.
Therese and Greg Beccone married in August 1976 and remained married for 49 spectacular years. Together, they went on to make a home in many states and welcomed two daughters Janelle (1980) and Anna (1990).
A woman of many talents, she was a homemaker extraordinaire, excelling in Halloween costume design, birthday party planning, and dog training. Outside of family life, Therese used her knack for relationship building at her jobs with East Rutherford school district and The American Red Cross. She selflessly gave her time volunteering for hospice, religious education classes, and hosting a number of foreign exchange students. Many aspects of life brought joy to her heart. Including but not limited to: skeeball, crossword puzzles, books, poetry, a cold glass of wine, tilt-a-whirl rides, gelato, and traveling the world with Greg.
Therese was preceded in death by her parents, and her older brother Michael Clifford. She is survived by her husband Greg, daughters Janelle Petzold and her husband Matt and Anna Beccone and her husband Josh Kocay. Grandchildren (Graham and Aaron Petzold and future Baby Kocay). Therese is also survived by brother Brian and Michael’s wife Janice.
Therese left her family with one of her favorite quotes that was found in a notebook the day after she passed:
“Good byes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation.” ~ Rumi
