Thomas Radle, 80, of Duryea, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2021, while at the Regional Medical Center, Scranton, Pa. He was born in New York, NY on July 29, 1941 and was the son of the late Irvine and Sarah (Christokos) Radle.
During the past several years, Thomas was a resident at the Gino Merli Veterans Center, Scranton, Pa.
Prior to his stay, Thomas resided in North Plainfield, N.J. for over forty years. During his career, Thomas was an onsite construction and fabrications manager for a large industrial specialty coatings company, which kept him busy, traveling most on the eastern coast.
Before entering the work force, Tom was an active member of the U.S. Army, serving with the 293rd Engineer Battalion from 1960-1963; building roads, bridges, and installations wherever needed.
When not working, Thomas had two big passions; reading and visiting his brothers and sisters and especially nieces, whom he cherished dearly.
Thomas is survived by his sister Agnes; brothers Peter, James, Nick and Louis; and many nieces and nephews.
Private Funeral services will be held at the Marcy Cemetery, Duryea. With Fr. Michael Bryant of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea officiating. Military honors will be provided by AMVETS Honor Guard of Greater Pittston.
