Thomas Zaladonis

Thomas Zaladonis, 65, formerly of Duryea, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Autumn Lake Nursing Center in Carney’s Point, NJ.  Born in Duryea on July 10, 1959, he was the son of the late Casimir and Celia C. (Cure) Zaladonis.


Tom was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and Johnson Technical Institute in Scranton.  He dedicated 24 years of service to the Tobyhanna Army Depot.  A proud Philadelphia sports enthusiast, he was a devoted fan of both the Phillies and the Eagles.


 He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael Zaladonis, his sister Marion Shaughnessy, and his brother-in-law Glynn Shaughnessy.


Tom is survived by his sister Kay Timlin and her husband James of Avoca, his brother James Zaladonis and his wife Cheryl of Duryea, along with and many nieces and nephews.


A special thank you to all who were instrumental in the care and treatment of Thomas. Their kindness was more than appreciated.


Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Duryea.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, PO Box 5041, Boone, IA 50950 or to St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital, 801 Ostrum St., Bethlehem, PA 18015

God Bless, I worked at Tobyhanna Army Depot with him for years, what a great man, heaven gained a great man.
